Pom Poms Tea House
I would guess that the Earl of Sandwich would have never imagined that the idea of the sandwich would have evolved so far. I think he would have been proud of the creative and delicious sandwiches of Pom Pom’s Teahouse and Sandwicheria. Nestled on Bumpy Rd. near downtown Orlando is cozy and absolutely fantastic Pom Pom’s. It’s a local joint that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but when you enter you feel the vibe. It’s cozy, it’s cultured, and it’s original. Best of all, the sandwiches are DA BOMB. Yeah, I said it, and I’ll say it again. DA’BOMB.
Thanksgiving anyone? Yes please. On a sandwich? Oh yeah! It’s the “Mama Ling-Lings’s Thanksgiving” sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cream cheese, gouda, ginger-cranberry chutney wonderfully placed between two slices of bread. You’re choice of delicious, white, wheat, rye, or pumpernickel. Don’t forget a side a gravy for dipping. How about a “low-rider?” Avocado, Black Beans, Mexican Salsa, Turkey & Cream Cheese. I cant forget to mention the “Colassal PBJ.” Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jelly, Marshmallow Fluff & Banana. They also have a wide variety of salads, sides, homemade soup, build-your-own sandwiches, and cupcakes! I may venture to say the best cupcakes in Orlando? And of course, Pom Pom’s is a teahouse. All loose-leaf teas are served hot or cold with interesting flavors such as, pumpkin, chocolate cream, pina colada, and gingerbread orange.
There is a sandwich for everyone at Pom Pom’s. Once you find it, you will likely be in-love forever. With their comfy-cozy atmosphere you will have a great time out with friends, by yourself, or with a date. You will be sure to get cool points in addition to a memorable experience for you and your taste buds!
You can expect to pay $6-9 for your entree. Visit pompomsteahouse.com for more information.
