In between fighting energy corporations and summoning her inner odd self in Iceland, Bjork is preparing her new multi media music project entitled “Biophillia.” The project is an album of ten tracks that will be each individually paired with an app, allowing her listeners to becoming involved in the music, and have the ability to alter the structure and make-up of the song. In short the songs will become essentially living, evolving, and ever changing entities. The first taste of “Biophillia” is Bjork’s new song “Crystalline.” It’s a very typical Bjork track with electronic bells and growling drums and synths. Towards the end of the track the beat picks up in pace and goes into a tripped out drum and bass exploration of crystal galaxies and internal nebulas. Bjork will be debuting “Biopollia” at the Manchester International Festival.
