It’s been four years since anyone has heard any buzz about a proper full-length from Feist, since she released The Reminder. But Feist revealed earlier this month the cover, tracklist and title of her follow-up, Metals.
And while the title may conjure up some images of long-haired men with solid black Ibanez’s, or maybe just shining rocks from the earth, the album sounds like more of the same from before: chilled-out jams continuously streaming from book store and coffee shop PA systems. The lead single from Metals, “How Come You Never Go There,” (which you can view below) seems to be a lot of what made The Reminder so good in the first place. It leaves you in a good mood with a washed-over feeling of satisfaction. Feist style.
Look for the new album out October 4 on Cherrytree and Interscope record labels.
