St. Vincent: Cruel (Official Video)

In her incumbent efforts, Marry Me and Actor, St. Vincent (Annie Clark) solidified her solo tenure in the music department. As a dabbler in sophisticated music projects (Polyphonic Spree & Sufjan Stevens), St. Vincent struts her art-dimensional ethics once again as she readies her new album, Strange Mercy , which is out on the 4AD record label.

So for 2011 – as tenure is a fleeting comfort these days – the synth-beating, fuzz-riff single “Cruel” has been released as St. Vincent’s second preview of the album – “Surgeon” being the first with legs out of the gate.  For eager eyes and ears, she has performed “Cruel” on Letterman and curtsied an official video for the intonational tune, which darkles by the minute and captures a beige-dressed innocent getting dirty.
