St. Vincent’s Annie Clark walked down a fictional police station’s runway and Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock offered rejected records to a school library in Portlandia‘s episode this past Friday.
In the episode, the mayor of Portland (Kyle MacLachlan) asks Carrie Brownstein (also of Wild Flag) and Fred Armisen (also of SNL) to update the police force’s uniforms. So the duo put on a runway show, featuring Clark strutting in a tutu.
Isaac Brock appeared in the same episode as a man donating old records to a public school library during a PTA meeting where Armisen and Brownstein argue about the validity of the library’s records. Brock lists off the records in his bin, “Talk Talk, the Back to the Future soundtrack, Temple of the Dog . . .” only to be scoffed at by the parents in the meeting.
Also, the Portlandia website features a video of St. Vincent performing “Cheerleader” on 4AD Sessions. Watch all the videos below.
