Converge: “Aimless Arrow”

Critically-acclaimed hardcore/metal act Converge are preparing to release a brand new album, following the popular Axe to Fall release from 2009. It’s going to be called All We Love We Leave Behind, and it will be released October 9 via Epitaph, as well as with a vinyl edition on frontman Jacob Bannon’s Deathwish Inc. imprint.

Bannon also drew the album cover’s artwork, which you can view above. It’s a common practice for the group to use his concepts, and this one appears to be some sort of artistic chart of the moon’s cycle.

The album will also be available in a one-stop-shop 17-song deluxe edition with a 48-page hardcover book featuring a number of Bannon’s various artwork. You can also pre-order all of the different versions here.

This album was recorded and produced in house by guitarist and engineer Kurt Ballou who has worked on a number of projects from the recent High on Fire release De Vermis Mysteriis to Black Breath’s Sentenced to Life. Unlike other Converge albums, this one didn’t receive outside help and collaboration.
